This post is inspired by a recent caller to the Alex Jones Show (call begins at 7:40). The caller claims that there will be a solar flare in 2012 that will knock out all satellites and all electricity for six months. He cites NASA and the Nostradamus Channel–oops, I mean, the History Channel. Guest host Paul Joseph Watson politely tells him they will talk about it after the break but in reality goes to a different caller instead. I suspect this means that PJW is not as concerned about 2012 as the topic he was covering, eugenics. However, since Mr. Watson did not set the caller straight, I guess I will do my best.

The NASA article that the caller is most likely referring to is from 2006 and predicts a larger than usual solar maximum that is capable of doing serious damage. The problem is that this article was very speculative and has since been proven wrong on a number of fronts. This article by Ian O’Neill does an excellent job of breaking down the scientific reasons why the caller to the Alex Jones Show should worry about other things.

What I want to point out, however, is the public relations/advertising techniques that establishment outfits like NASA or the History Channel use that people then latch onto and use as “scientific” justification for their 2012 theories. NASA must maintain a certain level of support and interest from the public in order to guarantee that tax money will keep flowing their way. The actual research NASA does is either classified/patented/sold off to corporations or too boring to interest any journalists in writing an article about it. To counteract this problem, NASA has come up with the “speculative disaster prediction” and the “there could be aliens out there” press releases and has continued to tweak and perfect them for many years. Journalists love stories like this because they get readers and they can quote “NASA scientists” to prove that they are doing professional journalism and not writing tabloid pablum. NASA always makes sure these statements are hedged and that weasel words like “could” and “foreseeably” are sprinkled liberally throughout.

Surely NASA and its representatives would deny all this, right? Actually, Buzz Aldrin admits to playing up the possibility that anomalous objects are alien related in order to drum up interest in space exploration. On the one hand, NASA must stay “scientific” enough to maintain credibility while at the same time playing to the UFO and 2012 crowd in order to maintain some public interest in space programs.

The next time you see 2012 “randomly” cited in an article involving NASA, realize that it is not there by accident. NASA is simply cynically exploiting people’s interest in 2012 in order to justify their government funding.

What, you may ask, do the now infamous “Ground Zero Mosque” and 2012 Conspiracy Theories have in common? The answer is more than you might think.

First, both of them posit catastrophes from threats that simply aren’t that threatening. 2012, as readers of this blog know, is just another year. There is no scientific and only the tiniest shred of historical evidence that would lead one to believe that the year 2012 may be more significant than, say, 2010. The Ground Zero Mosque story plays on people’s propaganda created fears of a powerful Muslim menace, an insidious Islamo-Fascism that will soon overtake the western world and force us all to obey Sharia Law if we don’t first bomb all the nations infested by Muslims back to the Stone Age.

Not coincidentally, both not only create and play on false fears, but both distract us from actual threats, like the steady march toward totalitarian government. Totalitarian governments killed over 100 million people last century, considerably more that hidden planets and Muslim terrorists combined.

Both 2012 and the Ground Zero Mosque give the media (alternative and corporate, respectively) something interesting but ultimately irrelevant to focus on. This attracts customers for the media companies without posing any threat to the established power structure. Both stories give people a target for strong emotions (fear and anger) that could potentially motivate them to action if directed towards actual threats in society. Both stories are about things that most of us can have no possible influence on whatsoever, except as consumers of information, propaganda, and deception.

With the thousands and thousands of possible “news” stories floating around each day, it is always amazing how the “independent” media consistently chooses the same stories to talk about, sometimes for weeks at a time. Choosing to take a position not supported by the mainstream media is laudable to a certain extent, but if we only think about the things the television tells us to think about, we’ve already lost.

The world won’t end in 2012, 19 Islamic terrorists didn’t pull off 9/11, and the real enemy doesn’t have talking heads excoriating him every day on television.

Despite the attempts to use scientific and historical evidence to support 2012 theories, the previous chapters show that there is not nearly enough evidence from science and history on their own to convince anyone of the special significance of 2012. Yet, many people genuinely believe that something very significant, whether catastrophe or enlightenment, is going to happen. This cannot be explained without looking at the spiritual roots of both those who espouse 2012 theories and those who believe them. By examining the true source of the 2012 theories, we will be able to better examine the possible agendas behind them.

David Wilcock is one of the longest tenured and most well known espousers of 2012 theories. His interviews, books, and films have reached millions of people. According to his website,[1] he started having strange dreams and experiencing strange synchronicities when he was two years old, had out of body experiences and experimented with ESP by the age of 7, read hundreds of “metaphysical” books on topics like lucid dreaming and channeling, came to believe he is the reincarnation of Edgar Cayce, and of course believes that 2012 is very significant to humanity (of course, the original name of his website was Ascension 2000, so he’s been wrong before).[2]

It is of course possible that Wilcock is a complete charlatan and is cynically manipulating other people and making things up about himself and his experiences in order to attract attention and increase merchandise sales. However, if his accounts of his own experiences and abilities did not resonate with anyone, who would buy or believe in his material? It is clear that many people have had similar enough experiences that they believe Wilcock or are at least interested in what he has to say.

It is also possible that everything Wilcock says is true and not only has he experienced what he has claimed to have experienced, but that his view about the world and 2012 is accurate and things are unfolding just the way that his “automatic writing” has predicted that it would. The significant problem with this approach, however, is that Wilcock has not been right about much of anything. His predictions for “ascension” to occur in the year 2000 obviously didn’t pan out, and he relies on much of the same bogus “scientific” support for his theories that has been convincingly refuted in the earlier chapters of this book and many other places.[3]

The third possibility, and the one that will be the working hypothesis of this book, is that Wilcock and others like him believe what they say and really have had various spiritual experiences, but are being deceived as to the entities they are communicating with and are being used to spread lies about a variety of subjects, including 2012. This explains both the appeal of Wilcock’s work, the seeming genuineness and confidence of his presentation, and the fact that he almost always wrong when he makes a prediction.[4] For example, here are some of his predictions for 2009.

David also predicts that President Obama will attempt to reveal the existence of aliens and alien technologies this year. He says it’ll be a two-hour prime time special, in which a human-like off world entity will be introduced. Wilcock is a rare voice in his field that both knows about the Illuminati and its now public push for a New World Order, AND still believes that Obama is “authentic.” He says while Obama is surrounded by minions of the Rockefeller/Rothchild [sic] secret societies, “they do not control the administration.” He urges seekers of truth not to give in to cynicism and a hardened perspective. On the economic crisis, he says, “You’re going to see things that might appear scary at first.” But that there’s a renewal coming that will help us all see the grander context.[5]

Leaving his assessment of Obama aside, it is obviously easy to assess the accuracy of the two-hour prime time aliens introduced by Obama prime time special prediction. In a strange way, predictions like this indicate that he really believes what he is saying. If he was a cynical charlatan, he would be careful to avoid such precise and unlikely predictions.

If Wilcock is getting these predictions from a source outside himself, what is the source? Wilcock refers to communications with “Higher Intelligence” and “his own higher self” to explain his channeling connection.[6] It is clear from the inaccuracy of the information he gets from this source that either the source is quite limited in its knowledge of the future, or is intentionally misleading Wilcock. Perhaps a clue to the true nature of these “higher forces” is that Wilcock was very afraid of them when he first encountered them as a child.[7] From a Christian perspective, the entities that Wilcock is communicating with are demons or “fallen” angels. If the angel hypothesis is correct, we would expect these entities to spread lies about Jesus Christ and to try to lead people away from Him. We would also expect other people to have similar experiences to Wilcock, and that is exactly what we do find.

–Andrew

This blog has already explored the use of “scientific” and “historic” evidence for 2012 theorizing. Even more ridiculous, however, is the attempted use of the Bible to support 2012 claptrap. Most 2012 sites are at least honest enough to admit their rejection of Christianity and embracing of New Age spiritualism and other forms of occult and false religions (Hinduism, Buddhism, etc.). However, some sites, like 2012 warning, attempt to lump in Christianity and the Bible along with every other bit of 2012 garbage that can be found.

Now, if you want to believe that a failed, barbaric, false-god worshipping society (the Mayans) were really geniuses and knew what would happen in 2012, that is your business. But please don’t claim that the Bible supports your belief. If you can find one legitimate Bible scholar who finds support for 2012 theories in the Bible, please post in the comments section.

Despite the dearth of biblical support for 2012, pseudo-Christian 2012 sites insist on dragging God’s name into their doomsday theorizing. This is justified by using the “prophecies” of Gianna Talone Sullivan, who claims to receiving (channeling) these communications from an entity called “Our Lady of Emmitsburg.” Ms. Sullivan could certainly be making the whole thing up to drive hits to her website. However, from a Christian perspective, it is also a possibility that she is communicating with a real spiritual entity. In that case, however, the entity is certainly a fallen angel in disguise who is using Ms. Sullivan to deceive others with 2012 nonsense.

This would certainly support the working hypothesis of the administrators of this blog, which is that all of the 2012-ing that is going on now is in preparation for a spiritual deception that is to come. It is not Ms. Sullivan or any of the other plethora of 2012ers that are behind the agenda, it is the father of lies, Lucifer himself.

Yes, he’s the man who “discovered” [i.e. willfully misinterpreted] evidence of the planet Nibiru, who credits our existence to Annunaki, and who is staking his scientific reputation on proposed DNA tests to a 4500 year old Sumerian woman, but even Zechariah Sitchin doesn’t believe in the 2012 theories.

In a recent article from MSNBC, Sitchin says the following when asked about his work and 2012:

“Don’t link me to 2012. Nothing will happen in 2012. The last time that Nibiru was in our vicinity was in the 6th century B.C. I provide information about this and sky maps and anything you want in my book “The End of Days.” But don’t link me to 2012.”

If not even pseudo-historian and pseudo-scientist Zechariah Sitchin is promulgating 2012 theories, then where are they coming from? Answering that question is key to understanding who is behind the 2012 deception and what the agenda really is.

Please post comments below, especially if you disagree.

Gilbert recently called the film “pseudo-Christian claptrap,” which is certainly an apt, although perhaps overly kind, description.

The premise of the film is that “Doomsday” occurs because the earth’s rotation stops because of alignment between the earth, the sun, and an [imaginary] black hole in the center of the galaxy. Furthermore, the viewer finds out that along with being human-sacrificing blood thirsty savages, the Mayans were also…that’s right…Christians. We know this because some of the film’s protagonists find a gold crucifix dating back to 300 AD. No, seriously, that’s what happens.

The absurdity of this has not been lost on reviewers who justifiably skewer the film. Excruciatingly bad “Christian” films/books/music/t-shirts, etc. are nothing new, of course. However, attempting to pass what is blatantly a New Age spirituality recruiting tool (the 2012 theories) off as “Christian” is not just cheesy, it is anti-biblical and detrimental to Christianity itself. There is no biblical precedent for God using a pagan society that sacrifices and cannibalizes its members to purvey truth about the world. There is absolutely no biblical basis for suspecting that the year 2012 has any special prophetic significance. As far as I can tell, the filmmakers simply stole material from the History Channel piece on 2012 and decided that anything that refers to the end of the world must be in agreement with biblical prophecy.

People should of course to be free to make whatever films that exploit and promote 2012 theories that they want to. However, to try and imply that these theories align with biblical prophecy is at best misguided and at worst is a deliberate and calculated deception.

When researching the plethora of 2012 theories, one will run into three main streams of evidence. Scientific, historic, and personal spiritual revelation. The purpose of this post is to show that the supposed scientific and historic support for 2012 theories is nothing but a smokescreen designed to make the only actual source of 2012 theories seem more plausible. www.2012hoax.org does a great job of pointing out the lack of actual historic and scientific evidence for 2012 theories. If you doubt this, however, please post examples of scientists and historians who espouse 2012 theories in the comment section below. Or, short of finding actual scientists or historians, please post examples of 2012 theories based and supported only by science and history.
Personal spiritual revelation is both the weakest form of support (at least for people other than the experiencer) and the most difficult to disprove. It is not the purpose of this post to argue that the espousers of 2012 theories that populate the Internet are lying about their experiences. In fact, I am willing to concede that many people are attempting to tell the truth about their experiences and genuinely believe they have had them. However, it is important to identify the true source of 2012 theories as these personal spiritual experiences, not science or history. Once the general stream of these theories (personal spiritual experience) is identified we can begin to speculate on what the actual source of these experiences is. But let’s get one thing straight, 2012 isn’t about science or history.

Keith (Truth) Thompson’s new movie has finally been released. I (Chris White) am featured quite a bit in the movie. He came to Nashville and interveied me at The Parthenon which boasts the largest indoor [pagan] statue in the western hemisphere (its of the goddess athena) The movie has a pretty extensive section debunking 2012 and the reasoning behind the deception, and I will embed the video where that portion starts (about 5:27). He has all 14 parts available to watch for free on his youtube page. and you can purchase the film for $25 at this link

Also of note was the group Destiny Lab which had a song in the credits of Keith’s new film. They came out with a song that is SOOOOOO very appropriate to the topics discussed on this website so I thought I would post it here too.
