2012 Theories: Where do they come from?

When researching the plethora of 2012 theories, one will run into three main streams of evidence. Scientific, historic, and personal spiritual revelation. The purpose of this post is to show that the supposed scientific and historic support for 2012 theories is nothing but a smokescreen designed to make the only actual source of 2012 theories seem more plausible. www.2012hoax.org does a great job of pointing out the lack of actual historic and scientific evidence for 2012 theories. If you doubt this, however, please post examples of scientists and historians who espouse 2012 theories in the comment section below. Or, short of finding actual scientists or historians, please post examples of 2012 theories based and supported only by science and history.
Personal spiritual revelation is both the weakest form of support (at least for people other than the experiencer) and the most difficult to disprove. It is not the purpose of this post to argue that the espousers of 2012 theories that populate the Internet are lying about their experiences. In fact, I am willing to concede that many people are attempting to tell the truth about their experiences and genuinely believe they have had them. However, it is important to identify the true source of 2012 theories as these personal spiritual experiences, not science or history. Once the general stream of these theories (personal spiritual experience) is identified we can begin to speculate on what the actual source of these experiences is. But let’s get one thing straight, 2012 isn’t about science or history.

I don’t have much to add except for my gratitude for your site. I’ve enjoyed reading your articles and your session on Future Quake.
If you’ve got some spare time, could you take to task the guy who’s been prophesying about a big California earthquake in September of this year? To get you started, this guy “casts lots” with a deck of cards. He’s on YouTube and has a site going at earthquake2010.org.

Greg Braden missed an 11,500 year old reference to a well documented earth cataclysm. This reference is by Cambridge scientists … Alan & DeLair and their book “Cataclysm. In this book they state with full bibliography that around 9500 bc the earth was effected by some kind of massive gravitational event and the proof didn’t come from the Greenland ice core samples but from muck vent excavations at which time a pole shift did happen in the magnetic field. So Greg could of referenced this material in order to validate a shift in a planetary magnetic field. Your point that this was not a magnetic pole reversal is correct within the work of the above referenced Alan & DeLair…but the cataclysm that happened 9500 bc is also well documented, with the earth experiencing many harsh events like flooding, volcanic eruptions, and weather changes.

Does “some kind of massive gravitational event” mean a sudden pole shift? Is there any reason to suspect that a similar event will happen in 2012? We live on a dynamic planet and lots of crazy stuff happens, the purpose of this blog post was to point out that there is no particular scientific or historical reason to suspect crazy stuff to happen in 2012 in particular.

Cataclysm theorizes that a piece of a star after a supernova, most likely from Vela supernova, flew through our solar system on the orbital plane of our planets. They theorize it tipped Uranus over as it rotates “backwards” flew by the gas giant between Mars and Jupiter and destroyed it leaving the asteroid belt where the “missing planet” should be, then flew by Mars and stripped it of atmosphere and almost pulled it apart, (it looks like a child’s top) then flew by Earth in a Northwest to Southeast direction, uplifting areas like the Gobi desert, used to be a sea, pulled up and instantly formed the Rockies and Andes, the Alps and Himalyas while dropping all of the Pacific Basin land masses formerly above sea level to below sea level, while also pulling Atlantis below sea level. Many corroborating facts, 135 civilizations with flood myths, Mammoths buried in ice died of blunt trauma and have undigested grasses in stomachs and flesh is edible so flash frozen, fresh water sea horses in Lake Titicaca genetically identical to ocean sea horses.
They theorize particle plunged into Sun, alternate theory is it is coming around again and is on long elliptical orbit but still in orbital plane of planets so future damage potential.
